Sue is originally from Scotland but has been living in the Algarve for 35 years. Previously based in Lagos, she was owner and chef of Restaurant Mediterraneo in Lagos for 15 years.
She now concentrates on private catering for villas and events, and also finds time to create custom handmade knitwear and hand spinning local wool. She is a creative resident with local heritage craft initiative Loule Creativo providing workshops and training in fibre arts.
The Animals:
Also helping and hindering us on the Quinta are a variety of dogs, cats & chickens.
Mika is the biggest of our furry friends, known mainly for barking at cars and being an inept swimmer. Otter Longhi, who loves everybody, was found abandoned in the local river and mistaken for an otter! He now spends his days chasing around the lake and hanging out with guests. They both are very happy to show you around the nearest hiking trails!
Our cats Snook, Bumble and Keef are usually to be found hanging out in front of the workshop or on the front deck enjoying the view and looking for a lap to sit on.
The chicken coop is ruled by Gordon McNugget the rooster who looks after our happy hens.
