The lake is the unique feature of Sitio do Lago – clean and clear and perfect to swim, kayak or just float around in.
In summer you can see 3 different types of dragonfly and all year round there is a chorus of frogs.
At dusk birds and bats can be seen catching insects and all through the day there are passing visitors flying in to have a drink.
