If peace is what you’re looking, for Sitio do Lago is a perfect getaway. Our apartment was contemporary and calm, comfortable and sparkling clean. Surrounding hillsides are criss-crossed with paths where we rambled each day, before an afternoon cool-off in the lake and a spot of canoeing. Later we sat on wooden recliners with books and a drink, enjoying the frogs’ chorus and watching Otter, the extremely loveable dog, frog-hunting as swallows dipped and dived down to the water. Sue produces wonderful food which you can eat indoors, on your own verandah or under a magical pink pepper tree on the swimming pool terrace. Highly recommended. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Paradise! A beautiful little lake which is great for swimming, and lots of opportunities to enjoy the sun or shade around. A great house; great view of the beautiful surroundings and the lake; very nice landlords, who are flexible and do their utmost to satisfy their guests.

On the border of a cultural landscape and quiet hills. Wonderfully peaceful with hopping and blue magpies in the garden. Simple, clean house with sun / shade porch. With a beautiful garden. Also for teenagers there is plenty to do in the house: canoeing on the pond, table tennis, playing with the dogs, boules.

It's in the middle of nature & there are fantastic views at both the front and back, with the sounds of cicadas, frogs, and a waterfall running. The dear helpful owners and their cute cats & dogs make the home feel cozy. We really enjoyed using the table tennis table & canoes, and it was easy to make trips to Loule market, Faro, the beach, and nearby nature reserves. Super place!

In one word "top" stay. A lot of privacy, beautiful lake at the rear of the house. There are games, canoes and a ping pong table. There is also the possibility to barbecue there. And a super friendly couple who also warmly received us. Really recommended.

Fantastic place! Absolutely recommended for those who love peace and nature. The cottage is equipped with all necessary comfort and kitchen utensils. Adam & Sue are great hosts who do the very best for their guests. For us and our children this was the best holiday so far, and therefore definitely worth repeating. So, definitely do it! 🙂

Easy to reach in a beautiful quiet area. The nature in the immediate vicinity of this cottage is varied. The garden is well maintained and is full of flowers. We enjoyed the swimming lake enormously. Clean and fully equipped. The owners are there for you if necessary.

I thought it was a very special place, where you are fully in the middle of nature. When you open the doors of your bedroom, you immediately see the lake, where you can dive in with a few steps. In the evening you hear the frogs and see the beautiful starry sky.
